We rescued a poorly pigeon this week who was huddled in a doorway in Hackney and unable to fly. I carried them home in a basket and gave them water and seeds. It didn't make it through, but I hope it died more peacefully being away from predators and knew it was somewhere safe. I struggle to understand why people hate these birds. All creatures deserve our compassion and our care.
